Er war einer der wichtigsten Wegbereiter für den Rap: Der US-Musiker Gil Scott-Heron ist im Alter von 62 Jahren in einem Krankenhaus in New York gestorben. Nach Angaben einer Freundin erkrankte er, nachdem er von einer Europareise zurückgekehrt war.
