Von Aphex Twin (a.k.a. AFX a.k.a. Richard D. James) gab´s bereits seit dem Drukqs Doppelalbum keinen Output mehr - und das ist immerhin schon über 10! Jahre her. Allerdings konnte man den guten Herrn James in der Zwischenzeit zumindest immer wieder mal live erleben.

Umso mehr überrascht mich nach der langen Durststrecke jetzt dieser fast 4-stündige "Unreleased Ambient Works 1985-2012" Leak(?) bei Mixcloud-User kroniktronikboy voller unveröffentlichter Titel.

Viral? Fake? Falls ja, hat´s bei mir geklappt ;)

Die erste Singleauskopplung "A Dark God Heart" aus dem kommenden Sleep Party People Album We Were Drifting on a Sad Song hat ein großartiges Video von Marie Limkilde spendiert bekommen:

Der Track geht in Ordnung, ist aber auch nicht der Bringer - das Video über einen Mann, der sich in eine Gehörlose verliebt, macht das Ganze allerdings mehr als wett. Hach.

Mit diesem seltenen Promo Mix aus 2002 von The Streets übersteht ihr auch den Montag. Lexis schreibt dazu bei Music is my sanctuary:

The Streets' record label, Locked On (pretty much my favorite UKG label of all-time) sent this to me along with the vinyl 3LP of "Original Pirate Material" back in 2002 because I was writing album reviews for Vice Magazine back in the day. Let's just say it still ranks as pretty much the best promo package i've ever gotten in the mail. It's pretty crazy that the promo CD has managed to survived in my mess for 10 years now!
