Eine Webcam, ein paar Plugins und es kann los gehen:

If you were impressed by the Mini advertisement which used augmented reality Dan wrote about earlier this week, its now possible for anyone to replicate the same effect. Using a combination of Google Sketchup (free download), an Augmented Reality Plugin(free trial version available), and a webcam, 3d models can be placed in the real world. The AR-plugin allows you to place the 3D model over live video from your webcam, and move it around. ArchDaily tested the setup out and posted the below video showing pretty impressive results.

What always amazes me about New York is how much there is to see if you pay attention. Every street has a hidden gem or two that go unseen by hundreds (if not thousands) of passersby daily who simply don’t have the time to look around them.

Xmas morning is the only time that London is (almost) empty of humans - so a morning spent cycling around town taking photos.

Sieht verdammt gut aus - bleibt nur zu hoffen, dass der Film auch irgendwo in den lokalen (Indie)-Kinos läuft:

Nachtrag: Hier noch ein schönes Review bei den Fünf Filmfreunden, dass sich ziemlich mit meinen Eindrücken deckt - für mich definitiv einer der Top-Filme 2008 (trotz des dämlichen deutschen Titels).

....auch wenn ich "Juno" persönlich ziemlich overhyped fand - das Hamburger Phone ist ja wohl der Hammer. Und $14,95 sind dafür echt ok:

...die sich an Singstar versuchen ("singen" wäre wirklich nicht das richtige Wort) sind wirklich etwas schreckliches - erst recht wenn man selbst noch Kopfschmerzen vom Vortag hat. Sogar die PS2 hat sich 3x aufgehängt - ich glaube nicht, dass es an der CD lag ;)

Aber jetzt sind sie ja alle weg und ich kann mich weiter meinem Weihnachtsgeschenk widmen:



Leider muss ich ja noch bis Samstag warten bis ich mir ein, zwei "richtige" Games besorgen kann - aber bei den Minigames die dabei waren, hat´s mir vor allem die "Pac Man Championship Edition" richtig angetan:



Es gibt ja eine alte Bauernregel, die besagt:

"Wenn Computerspiele unser Verhalten beeinflussen würden, würden wir jetzt durch dunkle Räume hüpfen, elektronische Musik hören und gelbe Pillen fressen"

...daran müssen sich die Macher von Pac Man C.E. wohl beim Programmieren erinnert haben - das Game spielt sich wie ein übler Drogen-Trip und macht dabei irre Laune. Nur sollte man wohl (ähnlich wie bei REZ oder Wipeout) nicht zu lange davor hocken ;)

...Where Beauty Eats BRAAAAAIIIIINS!!!

Over 6000 paintings were painstakingly produced during two years to create a five minutes film that would meet high personal standards. Khoda is a psychological thriller; a student project which was seen as a ‘mission impossible’ by many people but eventually proved possible!
