Gerade eben die erste Folge von "Black Mirror", der neuen dreiteiligen Mini-Serie von Charlie Brooker, gesehen und bin wirklich überwältigt. Ich zitiere einfach mal Rene dazu:

Das beste an Brooker ist, dass er eben nicht nur der bissige Medienkritiker ist, der er ist, sondern dass er Geschichten erzählen kann. „The National Anthem“ ist fesselnd und hochspannend, stellt mehr Fragen als Antworten zu liefern und funktioniert auf ganz vielen Ebenen ganz hervorragend. Als Zuschauer fragt man sich natürlich „Würde ich das tun? Wenn es um ein Menschenleben geht?“ (wer die Folge kennt, weiß was ich meine), die Folge fragt nach der Rolle neuer Medien, nach der Motivation des Online-Mobs und ob oder wie man selbst daran teilnehmen würde. Und die Auflösung der Folge passt sogar fast schon zu gut zu diesem Blog hier. Oder anders ausgedrückt: Black Mirror gehört mit zum besten, was dieses Jahr über meinen Screen gelaufen ist. Bloody brillant, absolutes Must Watch.

Mir gefällt vor allem der 180° Effekt für die Unterscheidung zwischen seinen Print- und Screenprojekten.

Cactus a.k.a. Jonatan Söderström ist ein Game-Designer aus Schweden und erstellt seit einigen Jahren kleine, verstörende Indie-Games, Artworks und Musikvideos, welche sich oft zwischen Trash und Kunst bewegen.

Die meisten seiner Werke kann man sich auf seinem Blog cactusquid.blogspot.com kostenlos herunterladen - meist sogar für PC & Mac.



Ich bin auf jeden Fall irgendwie auf "Norrland" aufmerksam geworden - das Game kann man sich hier herunterladen (PC). Man steuert dabei den Protagonisten auf der Jagd und wird ständig von Mini-Games ("I gotta shit", "Beer's good") und wirren Träumen unterbrochen.

Das 10-minütige nihilistisch-destruktive Abenteuer sollte sich jeder Gamer einmal ansehen - gehört allerdings trotz der klobigen Pixelgrafik nicht in Kinderhände (NSFW).
