Vera Brosgol wurde in Moskau geboren, lebt allerdings inzwischen in den Vereinigten Staaten. Neben zahlreichen Illustrationen und Grafiken hat sie auch ihre erste Graphic Novel (a.k.a. Comic) veröffentlicht: Anya's Ghost.
